In Windows XP/Vista/7

- Restart the system and just before Windows start, repeatedly press F8 and you will be presented with “Advanced Options Menu”.
- From the options available select “Safe Mode with Networking” and to do this use the arrow key present on the keyboard.

In Windows 8

- Restart the system and as it starts continuously press Shift+F8 keys.
- This will display “Recovery Mode”. Continue until you reach Safe Mode function.
- Now click on See advanced repair options” and then click on “Troubleshoot”.
- Next select “Advanced options”.
- And on the next windows choose Windows Startup Settings.
- At last click on restart button, Windows 8 will restart and boot into “Advanced Boot Option” where you can run the system in safe Mode with networking.

2. Open the antivirus program installed in your system and update it.
3. Now scan the system thoroughly and remove all threats that got detected.
